01 / Meet Green Tag Desk

Good work needs
a good desk
behind it.

Green Tag Desk supports local HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shops with permit filing, registration, bond and insurance tracking, and inspection coordination through municipal closeout.

We file as your authorized agent. We handle the paperwork — your shop stays the contractor of record, and the town makes the permit and inspection decisions.

02 / What we take off your desk

From the first form
to the final follow-up.

Practical administrative support for routine replacement work, with the details agreed before we begin.

01

Permits & inspections

We prepare and submit permit applications for routine replacement work, schedule and reschedule inspections, track every status, and close the permit out in your system.

Job types: furnace & AC replacement · water-heater replacement · standby generators · panel & service upgrades · EV-charger circuits.

02

Registrations, bonds & insurance

We track your contractor registrations, bonds, licenses, and insurance certificates town by town — and warn you 60, 30, and 7 days before anything expires, before a town rejects your application because of it.

03

Never miss a lead

When a homeowner reaches out on Thumbtack, Angi, Google, or Yelp, we respond in about a minute, qualify the job, and book the estimate into your calendar. You approve every price — we never quote installation work. You get a summary of every conversation and a monthly report showing what each platform actually produced.

04

Follow-up, reviews & reactivation

After the final inspection passes, we check in with your customer and send every one of them a Google review link. And when you want the schedule filled, we run seasonal tune-up campaigns to your past customers — fall furnace checks, spring AC checks — booked straight into your slow weeks.

03 / A simple working relationship

Your shop.
Your towns.
Your desk.

Start with a conversation. Build a process around the places you actually work.

  1. 01

    Tell us about your shop.

We talk through your trade, routine jobs, and the towns where you need support.

  2. 02

    Agree on the scope.

We define the work, town coverage, fees, and the information we’ll need from you.

  3. 03

    Put the desk to work.

We coordinate the agreed paperwork and follow-up, with your shop as our point of contact.

Close to the work

Don’t see your town? Ask. If you work there regularly, we’ll build the template.

A few useful details

Before we
get to work.

Who is Green Tag Desk for?

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shops doing replacement work in the Fox Valley and western suburbs — from solo operators to 15-truck shops. We agree on your towns and services before we start.

What does the pilot cost?

$299 for the first 30 days, including your first 5 standard permits and a registration audit. Government permit and registration fees and bond premiums are separate, charged at cost. We’ll confirm the full scope before you commit.

Are you a contractor?

No. We file as your authorised agent and handle administrative support and coordination. Your shop remains the licensed contractor of record, and the town makes all permit and inspection decisions.

What types of work are outside the standard scope?

New construction, additions, and commercial projects are outside the standard desk. Generators, panel upgrades, and larger backlogs are handled at the complex rate or by separate quote — tell us about the job and we’ll confirm whether it fits before you commit.

What happens if an inspection fails?

If the extra inspection cycle was caused by our error, we fix it free. If it was the installation, site access, or changed information, re-inspection coordination is $75, plus any town fee at cost.

Do you file in person?

When a town requires original documents or has no online portal, yes — we go. That’s the advantage of a local desk.

Can you guarantee a permit or inspection timeline?

Municipalities control their review, approval, and inspection schedules. Our role is administrative support and coordination; the town makes the permit and inspection decisions.
